Kylie Shannon

KYLIE
I realized that I have not shared any cute
pictures of my cute little girl. Kylie is nine months old and absolutely adorable. She keeps me VERY busy because she does not like to be put down and because she may be our last I spoil her rotten. She is a very busy baby and is always laughing or crying.

Politics What are you doing?

As anyone who reads my blog knows. I am not a big blogger. I never have anything to say, but finally I do. I am so sick of what is happening in this country. It makes me sick (literally) to my stomach every time I turn on a news program and hear about what some politician is doing to this great country.

First it is obama care, and now the Republican party is taking money donated by hard working people and spends it on a strip club. And has there been any resignation or even a call for it No.
Bank bailout, Mortgage bailouts, increases for everything and everyone that can scream "NO Fair" they have more.

I guess what I want to know is how my friends feel about what is going on and more importantly what are they doing about it. Lately I feel so helpless like I am just watching a horror movie yelling "stop don't open that door" and the government and our politicians keep opening the door. So I am asking what are you doing? How are you getting involved and what can we do to stop the government from opening the stupid door!

The little monster

Have you ever wanted to beat up a neighbor kid? I was walking my little sweet boy to school yesterday, and a little boy came up to Camden and said " Hey I want to talk to you" and then camden turned around and the little boy punched him in the face. I was standing right there Camden did nothing, he just came up and punched him in the face. I was so mad, It took all of me not to box his little ears. It turned out that this little boy is in Camdens class and he is the little bully of the school. Even before I told the principal his name she knew who is was. As I was "talking' in my naughty mommy voice to this little boy he kept on saying but I get hit and kicked all the time, I kept saying has Camden done this. And he said NO but I get hit and kicked all the time. This poor little boy probably has a horrible home life and I feel really bad for him, NOW but in the moment I was about to go beat up a six year old. But he was a really tall for his age.

Kylie Shannon

Kylie Shannon has finally arrived, well almost 2 months ago. She was born on June 17th. She was 6lbs 13oz and 18 inches long. Now she has filled in her rolls adn she is over 12 lbs.

Camden and Cambria are both doing great with her. Cambria just thinks that it is her baby and she decided for a couple of weeks that she was not going to play with baby dolls because they were not real. Camden helps translate for her and tells us everything she wants.

Does anyone have a copy...

I have to give talk and I am looking for the poem about the lady who can do everything but then at the end she drops dead. If anyone has it or even knows the name of it. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

No I don't beat my Child

It has been a crazy month at our house. It all started when Camden said that his feet hurt and he couldn't walk. Being the nice mom that I am I said oh "your feet are just asleep, go play". About an hour later I asked him to put away his cloths and he said he couldn't because it hurt to much to walk.

So I go over and look at his foot and it was swollen like a dead man. I called the doctor and made an appointment for that night. Within 15 min both of his feet had swollen 3 times there size and the swelling started to go up his legs. Me being the rational person that I am started freaking out and crying. To make it worse Brian was at a meeting and he didn't have a phone. So I was trying to call all the people I knew that were at this meeting. I am sure they thought I was a basket case, so anyway, after an eternity (10 minutes) I finally got hold of him. In the meantime I called my doctor and told them I was taking him to the emergency room, they told me that was probably not necessary and made me an appointment immediately.

Within 25 minutes of me noticing the swelling he had gotten so tender on his hands, elbows, knees, and feet that he would cry every time you touched him. So when we finally arrived at the doctor, they started doing all these tests. One was a strep test and he threw up all over everything when they swapped him. Lucky for him they had clothes he could change into but unlucky for me I couldn't. I had puke everywhere in my hair all over my clothes, it was great. Well he tested positive for strep but that didn't really explain all the swelling. So they took his blood pressure and it was so low that it didn't even register. So we were there for almost 3 hours while they were determining if he should go to the hospital. They finally told us to take him home but just "watch him really close". Now that is a comforting phrase that parents just love to here " watch him" ... That night he slept with me and Brian was on the couch, Brian woke up every hour to check on him and make sure he was still breathing. It was not a peaceful night to say the least. Well the next day things did not improve, he couldn't even stand up to go to the bathroom. He also developed this weird rash all over his body (the pictures are after he had it for a couple of days). It first was a red pin prick rash and then it developed into these blood patches. After a couple of days they would turn to bruises. For the next week and a half we were at the doctors office and the hospital (getting blood drawn) at least every other day. Camden was in heaven because he was able to play video games and watch movies, but the rest of us were flipping out. The doctors had no idea what was going on, so that made it even more exciting. Some days his swelling would go away and then out of the clear blue it would come back with this weird bumps and a rash. But the good thing is after about two weeks it just went away. Weird huh.
During those two weeks Cambria also had strep, then she got the flu and was throwing up and having major bathroom issues for 3 days, and then to top it all off Brian got strep and has this persistant cough that won't go away (for over a month now). Add all those things to me being pregnant and sick and life has just been CRAZY.. But the good news is, that everyone is almost better. Camden got Strep again on Friday but no wierd other stuff, brian had chest x-rays, and they found nothing, Chubba is all better, and I am no longer throwing up. Yeah
Thank heavens for prayer. I don't know how we would of made it threw. Oh a side note we found out last month that we are having a girl and we are very excited, except Camden who really wanted a little brother.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow

We went sledding up at Brian's parents house. The kids had a lot of fun. Uncle Brandon took Camden up and down the hill, while Brian took Cambria. She is a little independent and decided that she wanted to go all by herself. Well, if I was better at this blogging this I could put the pictures in order, but I am sure you all can figure out what happened. Brian let her go and was running right beside her, when she was about to stop he let go and then she hit a bump and had a great fall. But no worries after a very dramatic cry she was all smiles again
But decided that she didn't like going by herself anymore.
